A brand rooted in the exploration of the untold artforms & folklores of Kerala, reimagining it through fashion in our elevated daily wear – bold in colour, edgy in pattern, free-spirited in form, with a modern attitude that still feels timeless.

SOUL OF SALT
Salt didn’t start in a boardroom. When John, then working in fashion marketing, began dreaming up an apparel line, he crossed paths with Diya, a designer with an eye for detail, a background in media, and a head full of wild, wonderful ideas. What began as a business conversation turned into a creative collision.
Unlike conventional dates, it was the endless design discussions over coffee , discovering weavers and long drives to artisan towns where they found their calling and connection. Two years, countless travels, and one big dream later, Salt was born.
The label has grown into one that carries their shared way of seeing the world; curious, free-spirited and deeply mindful of people. Salt is where their love of each other, of Kerala and of craft finds its most honest expression.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
At the heart of Salt are the artisans and weavers who keep Kerala’s handloom and craft traditions alive. We work closely with local communities, many of them women, paving the way for inclusivity and social equity through fair wages and ethical practices. When you wear Salt, you don’t just wear a garment, you wear someone’s skill, history and hope.
Salt is for the modern Indian woman in her quiet rebellion – bold, non-conformist, conscious of culture and authenticity. She values individuality over trends, minimalism over excess, and chooses fashion that reflects her values as much as her mood.
